Lead Launch Software IRT for General Motors (Lansing, MI)
In this role, I have successfully led a team in launching a new vehicle architecture within a tight deadline and to very ambitious quality metrics. My experience includes working cross functionally with software engineers at our headquarters, test and validation teams at our proving grounds, and leadership at our assembly plants. This in addition to working closely with our suppliers to enhance the quality and reliability of the components that we use in our products.

Worked at LDT Assembly as the Lead Module Quality Engineer. In this role I practiced the Red X methodology for evidence based problem solving of vehicle issues. In addition, I worked closely with suppliers to improve the robustness of their EOL quality checks, error proofing, and FMEA’s. Ultimately driving for better quality parts from our suppliers.

Senior Design Lab (Electric Car)
Lab experience with designing an object recognition system for an electric car using a Raspberry Pi. Also designed and built a digital instrument cluster for the car.

Experience with both Altera and Xilinx FPGAs, as well as the Freescale HCS12 Microcontroller. This includes work with the design of asynchronous and synchronous counters using Quartus II and Xilinx’s PlanAhead software.
Side Projects
Raspberry Pi experience, including a webcam based security system and a RFID based door lock (uses an RFID reader and a simple servo motor). Have also worked to interface with the OBDII (automotive) protocol.
