Relevant Experience:
Programming Languages
– Proficient in C and C++, including designing rotational ciphers, as well as multiplayer logic games. I also have experience with Java, Java Swing, Python, Tkinter, Assembly, HTML, VHDL, MATLAB, and Objective C.
Senior Design Lab (Electric Car)
– Lab experience with designing an object recognition system for an electric car using a Raspberry Pi. Also designed and built a digital instrument cluster for the car.
VHDL
Experience with both Altera and Xilinx FPGAs, as well as the Freescale HCS12 Microcontroller. This includes work with the design of asynchronous and synchronous counters using Quartus II and Xilinx’s PlanAhead software.
Side Projects
Raspberry Pi experience, including a webcam based security system and a RFID based door lock (uses an RFID reader and a simple servo motor). Have also worked to interface with the OBDII (automotive) protocol.
Computer Engineering Junior Lab
Experience with the design of small digital systems using methods based on both MSI level components and state machine design with SSI components. This includes experience with digital scopes and logic analyzers.
Electrical Engineering Lab
Experience with filters, transformers, timers, and MOSFET amplifiers for design projects.
